Our Commitment to You

We know you're trusting us with personal information every time you place an order, and we don't take that lightly. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do (and don't do) with it. If anything here is unclear, reach out and we'll explain it in plain language.

1. Information We Collect

When you place an order, create an account, sign up for our newsletter, or contact us through the Site (including our Contact Us form and feedback tab), we collect information like:

Your name, shipping and billing address, email address, and phone number
Order details: what you bought, when, and for how much
Payment confirmation from our payment processor (MAG does not store full credit card numbers)
Any message or feedback you send us directly
Basic technical information (like browser type and IP address) collected automatically to keep the Site running securely

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Process and ship your order, and send order-related emails (confirmations, shipping updates)
Respond to questions, returns, and support requests
Send you our newsletter or promotional emails, but only if you've opted in, and you can opt out at any time
Improve the Site and troubleshoot problems
Detect and prevent fraud

3. Cookies & Similar Technologies

Like most online stores, our Site uses cookies to keep your shopping cart working between pages, remember your login if you have an account, and understand basic site traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though parts of checkout may not work correctly without them.

4. Payment Information

All payment processing happens through our payment providers (currently including PayPal and our credit/debit card processor), not directly through MAG's own servers. Your card details are encrypted and handled by those providers under their own security standards; we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with the last few digits of the card for your order record.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, ever. We share it only where it's genuinely needed to run the business:

With shipping carriers (USPS), to get your order to you
With our payment processors, to complete your transaction
With our email service provider, to send order confirmations and, if you've opted in, newsletters
If required by law, such as in response to a valid subpoena or court order

6. Data Retention

We keep order and account information for as long as needed to fulfill orders, handle returns, meet our tax and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. If you'd like your information deleted sooner and we're not legally required to keep it, contact us and we'll take care of it.

7. Data Security

We protect your information using industry-standard measures, including SSL encryption on this Site and secure hosting. No online system is 100% immune to risk, but we take this seriously and monitor for issues.

8. Your Choices

Newsletter: you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting us directly.
Account information: you can review or request corrections to your account information by contacting us at mag@militaryassaultgear.com.
Deletion: you can request that we delete your personal information, subject to what we're legally required to retain (for example, for tax records).

9. Your Rights as a California Resident

If you're a California resident, you may have additional rights under California law (including the CCPA), such as the right to know what personal information we've collected about you, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. As noted above, MAG does not sell personal information, so there's nothing to opt out of on that front, but you can still exercise your other rights by contacting us at mag@militaryassaultgear.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page. We won't make a material change to how we use previously collected information without notifying you.
